Physiotherapy

Following the movement screening, physiotherapy assessment and conversation covering any current symptoms or injuries, we then treat all complaints using one or a combination of the following:

  • Manual therapy (Hands-on treatment including soft tissue therapy and mobilisation of joints)
  • Cognitive-functional therapy (Patient-centered behavioural intervention, looking into patient’s beliefs and then improving patient’s function through normal movement)
  • Soft-tissue massage (deep tissue massage to help with muscle tightness, active trigger points and general overloaded muscle groups)
  • Dry-needling (insertion of acupuncture needles into tender areas and/or active trigger points in the muscle)
  • Kinesio-taping (can be used to help stimulate under-active muscle groups and also to improve proprioception, i.e. your body’s positional awareness)
  • Rehabilitation through a tailored exercise programme
